10G PON (XGPON) and GPON can share the same ODN net, due the wavelength planning of 10G PON (XGPON) and GPON non-overlapping.

10 Gbit/s EPON used in fibre-optic with different wavelength (Up 1575-1580nm,Down1260-1280nm) , so 10 Gbit/s EPON with standard 1Gbit/s EPON can be WDM in one fibre-opic. And the benefits is the the Optical splitter of 10GEPON can use ONU of EPON.
